One year ago, I was anxiously submitting my work on Amazon KDP. One year ago, the ebook of Talking To The Moon got published, soon followed the day after by the paperback edition.
When I look back… This was my book baby, and actually I was a baby writer too at that time, haha ! There were so many things I didn’t know about, the only thing I was focused on was to publish my book as soon as possible.
I’m very grateful to the people who took the time to buy and read my collection of poems, Talking To The Moon. As a child, publishing a book was my biggest dream, and it always seemed so far away… and yet here we are ! You guys made my life a bit brighter every day.

Talking To The Moon was my way back to writing, my way back to me, through grief, heartbreak, mental illness. As cliché as it sounds, it was the light at the end of the tunnel, the burst of hope and love I wanted to throw into the world. It always amazes me how my words can reach people in different ways, and that’s what is so beautiful with poetry ; it connects with your heart, with your own history, and you can interpret it in a whole different way than the author herself. I love that, and I’m immensely grateful and happy that Talking To The Moon reached others who needed it, just like I needed.
And it’s only the beginning !
I hope you all have a beautiful day. I’ll see you next Wednesday for a new blog post.
Marie.
