Camp NaNoWriMo : Day 13/30

For writers, April can have several meanings. There’s #IndieApril on Twitter, for indie writers to promote their books, and readers to try an indie book or more. April is also the first writing challenge of the year, with Camp NaNoWriMo. I’ve already explained in a previous post what is Camp NaNoWriMo, so feel free to check it out HERE, if you don’t know.

I didn’t want to make a blog post about Camp NaNoWriMo every week, like I did for NaNoWriMo last November, so I’m just going to do one halfway through, and then one at the end.

For the writers participating, how is it going so far ? Which goal(s) did you set for yourself ?

As for me, I set a 30k words goal, and I planned on working on two WIPs. Even though for now, inspiration only came for one of the two, haha. Which is actually nice, because it’s the short stories collection I’ve been struggling so much with since last year.

Just like for the last NaNoWriMo, I’ve made a little tracker in my bullet journal, and I still love it. It’s a very simple yet effective way to track your progress. I’m not a big fan of NaNoWriMo’s website, so yeah.

As you can see, I’m a bit late on schedule, but it’s alright. April is quite busy for me, so I’m already quite happy with what I’ve done. I trust that there will be calmer days where I can catch up a bit.

I also realized that I tend to always put ‘chocolates’ as a first reward, and I mean. It’s Easter, so perfect timing to buy chocolates, right ? Everyone has their own priorities, one of the best rewards I can get for myself is food haha. I did reach the 10k mark, but didn’t buy the chocolates yet, so I should do that soon. Yummy times ahead ~

If you’re participating, feel free to share in the comments how it is going for you so far 🙂

I hope you all have a lovely day, and see you next Wednesday !

Marie.
