As an indie author, I’ve discovered Amazon KDP with the purpose of publishing my book. For most writers or people of the writing community, that’s what Amazon KDP has been created for. To self-publish books, all kinds of books.
Well, you might have seen this on Youtube or elsewhere, but there are people who use Amazon KDP without being a writer. So what do they do, you ask ? They publish other kinds of ‘books’.
Notebooks, diaries, workbooks, cookbooks, photography books, account books… Endless possibilities. And while some are still in the artistic field, some are just… practical items. And honestly ? I love that we can just create whatever we want, put in on Amazon KDP and hop ! You can get it delivered to you. I LOVE notebooks, and to think that I can just create my own with a bit of creativity and formatting… That’s just amazing ! Also, if you’ve already published a book through Amazon KDP, let me tell you that publishing a notebook is going to be a piece of cake.
The other day, I was looking for an account book for my business on Amazon, and to see that so many people just created their own… Somehow, it warmed my heart. Like, I’m so proud of these strangers doing their own thing. I mean, some people built a business out of selling this kind of items. So I decided to make mine too, because the basic account books are just not adapted to my business (the lines are tiny, there’s nothing for transactions in different currencies, etc).
I did try to use Amazon KDP for something other than written books : for my book boxes I created a notebook through Amazon KDP and I have to say, I’m very satisfied with the quality of the printing.
Of course this is not me promoting Amazon in any way, I just want to share the info I have, say what is possible, so that it might be useful to people who might be interested in doing this as well.
What about you ? Have you ever used Amazon KDP for a ‘non-written’ book ?
I hope you have a lovely day. See you next Wednesday ~
Marie.
